On Friday afternoon I was en route to an assignment for a supplemental publication of my newspaper when I pulled up to what turned out to be a very serious accident. As I would come to find, someone had made an attempt to pass in a no passing zone, colliding head on with a big Idaho-style pickup.
I somehow managed to show up before any emergency crews had arrived on the scene, putting me in the awkward position between helping those injured in the crash or doing my job to document the moment. As I pulled off to the side of the road I was immediately rushed by a frantic passerby who asked me if I was a doctor. I was flattered to think that someone would mistake me for a physician but I very quickly set them straight informing them that, "No, I don't make nearly that much money". Fortunately multiple paramedics did arrive on the scene moments after I had so I did not have to pretend like I remembered my first responder training from years ago.
I ended up getting a brief interview with an officer and decided to package it with some photos in a quick little slideshow. Feel free to check it out.
I finished out my day with a nice outdoor rodeo in the town of Eagle, which lies about 20 minutes north of Boise.
Oh and one shameless plug... I recently received a pair of awards for photos I had taken in the month of may...
As always, thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Hey,
I love the photo of the cowboy taking the steer down. Congrats on the awards. Hope Idaho is treating you well!
